AWS Builder Center: 1 Year ICYMI

One year ago, we launched AWS Builder Center as the home for the AWS Community. What started as an idea to unify everything builders need into one place has grown into something we're genuinely proud of, and we're just getting started!

Whether you've been here since day one or just claimed your alias last week, here's a look back at a few highlights of what we shipped since July 9, 2025.

We opened the doors with Wishlist (submit and upvote feature ideas for AWS services), community profiles with custom URLs and QR codes, the Toolbox for SDKs and open-source projects, and connections to AWS Heroes, Community Builders, and User Groups worldwide. All of it available in 16 languages from day one.

Get hands-on with AWS without a credit card. Sandboxes give you access to a real AWS account to complete a workshop, one per week, no strings attached. Try out services, break things, learn by doing.

The Builders' Library has a new home. Deep-dive technical articles from AWS engineers on topics like multi-tenant fairness, resilience patterns, and dependency isolation, now live on Builder Center.

Save articles for later so you can come back to them. Group related articles into ordered collections with Article Series. Whether it's a step-by-step tutorial or a multi-part deep dive, readers can follow from start to finish.

Indicate your student status, share your program of study, and add your graduation date. We'll tailor your experience accordingly, whether you're mid-semester or years into your career.

Create and join specialized communities within Builder Center. Open, moderated, or invite-only. We launched spaces for re:Invent, Builder Lofts, and dozens of community-created spaces around topics like serverless, AI, and security. Your community has a space within the home.

None of this happens without you. Every article published, wish submitted, and comment that helped another builder made Builder Center the place for the community this past year. Thank you for making this place better. We're grateful, and we're not slowing down!
