Introducing Spaces

Spaces gives you a simple way to create and join communities around specific topics, so you can collaborate with other builders while developing your skills and network.

Director, AWS Builder Center
Spaces is a new feature in AWS Builder Center that lets you create and join specialized communities within the AWS Community. Whether you're working on serverless architectures, machine learning workloads, security implementations, or just want to connect with builders facing similar challenges, Spaces gives you the tools to make meaningful connections.
You can choose from three community types:
  • Public Spaces: Open to everyone—join immediately and start participating
  • Private Spaces: Visible to all but require approval to join, perfect when you want to curate membership
  • Invitation-Only Spaces: Exclusive communities where only invited members are included
Create your own space around your area of expertise, or browse existing communities to find discussions relevant to your work. Each space includes collaboration features: post text, images, and media; engage through comments and reactions; search for specific discussions. Space owners have management tools to invite members, approve requests, and moderate content quality.
Spaces include both AWS-managed communities led by AWS experts and community-created spaces led by passionate builders. AWS-managed spaces provide official channels for announcements and discussions, while community-created spaces let you lead conversations around the topics that matter most to your work. All content in Spaces is available in 16 languages, so builders worldwide can participate in their preferred language.
Spaces include moderation tools powered by AWS to keep discussions productive and aligned with Builder Terms. Content gets automatically scanned, and both AWS moderators and space owners have tools to maintain high-quality discussions. You can report issues, and space owners get notifications about moderation actions for transparency.
Create your Space today. You can start using Spaces right now—no special setup required. Whether you're looking to solve a specific problem, share your expertise, or learn from other builders' experiences, Spaces helps you find and create the technical discussions you need.
