Building the AWS Foundation for VOICE SHIELD: Organizations, PostgreSQL & RDS Preparation

After establishing the V1/V2 production architecture, the next step in VOICE SHIELD's productionization journey is building its cloud and data foundation. This part covers the AWS Organization setup, account-capacity expansion request, and PostgreSQL schema preparation for the future RDS migration.

Productionization becomes real when the architecture starts becoming infrastructure.
Following the decision to keep V1 stable while developing V2, we began establishing the cloud and data foundation for VOICE SHIELD.
☁️ AWS ORGANIZATION
We established an AWS Organization as the foundation for managing the future multi-account VoiceShield environment.
The organization is configured with all features enabled, providing the foundation for centralized account and access management.
Because the current organization-level account quota was limited, we submitted a Service Quotas request to increase the maximum account capacity:
2 → 20 accounts
The request is currently under AWS review.
🗄️ POSTGRESQL FOUNDATION
In parallel, the PostgreSQL target schema for the V2 migration track has been prepared.
The current schema covers four core tables:
• analysis_records
• call_sessions
• call_chunks
• device_recording_compatibilities
A critical real-time relationship is:
call_sessions
│
└── 1 → N
call_chunks
This relationship is important because VoiceShield's real-time call processing is organized around sessions and their individual processed audio chunks.
🔄 MIGRATION DIRECTION
The productionization path is:
V1
→ SQLite
→ Stable baseline
V2
→ PostgreSQL
→ AWS RDS
→ Controlled migration and validation
The objective is not simply to replace a database.
The objective is to evolve the infrastructure while preserving:
• Existing application behavior
• API boundaries
• Real-time processing
• Session/chunk relationships
• Data integrity
• V1 fallback capability
The PostgreSQL schema is therefore being treated as a controlled target for migration rather than an immediate production cutover.
This is the next stage of:
VOICE SHIELD: FROM DEMONSTRATOR TO PRODUCTION
The foundation is being built carefully — one layer at a time.
Next:
Validating the PostgreSQL target against the existing SQLite data model before migration execution.
