The Inspiration
The AWS community is massive, but it can be hard to visualize just how global it really is. I wanted to build something that brings all these different groups—Heroes, Community Builders, User Groups, and Cloud Clubs—into a single, interactive 3D space.
What’s Under the Hood?
To bring this "AWS Community Globe" to life, I focused on a modern and scalable stack:
- Development: Built and developed using Kiro.
- Hosting: Deployed via AWS Amplify for seamless CI/CD.
- Networking: Connected a custom domain using Amazon Route 53.

- 260+ AWS Heroes mapped by location.
- 2,400+ AWS Community Builders represented.
- 600+ AWS User Groups & 600+ AWS Cloud Clubs.
- Interactive 3D UI: Rotate and zoom to find community members in your region.
