The AWS Community Globe keeps growing.
This update makes the globe easier to explore, faster to use, and better for sharing with the community. You can try it here: Open the AWS Community Globe
Kiro Events
Kiro is now part of the globe in one combined Kiro tab.
Visitors can explore Kiro Ambassadors and filter events by type, including hackathons, livestreams, meetups, workshops, conferences, and more. The event data comes from the Kiro events RSS feed, so the globe can stay focused on current and upcoming events.
There is also a new Submit Event Here button, making it easier for community organizers to share their Kiro events.
Faster Community Builder Browsing
As the community grows, loading every Community Builder at once can become heavy.
The globe now uses a summarized map layer first, then loads more detailed data when someone selects a country or filter. This keeps the experience smoother while still letting users explore the full community.
Singapore 3D Spotlight
Singapore now has a special 3D Student Builder Group view.
When users open the Student Builder Groups tab and click Singapore 3D, the map moves into a focused Mapbox view of Singapore. Schools are shown with vertical lines rising from their locations, with circular markers at the top for each group or leader.
This gives Student Builder Groups in Singapore a more visual and memorable spotlight.
Shareable Links
The globe now supports bookmark-friendly links.
When someone selects a tab, filter, country, map view, or Singapore 3D mode, the URL updates automatically. That means you can share a direct link to the exact view instead of telling people where to click.
