10,000 AIdeas Competition

The competition is over. Explore the winning ideas below.

About the competition

From December 2025 to April 2026, the 10,000 AIdeas Competition challenged builders worldwide to pitch an AI app idea, then build it for real. Thousands of submissions from 115 countries were narrowed to 1,000 selected to build, then 300 semi-finalists, 50 finalists, and 20 winners across five tracks. All apps were built with Kiro  and AWS Free Tier  services and shared right here on Builder Center. $250,000 in cash prizes and AWS credits went to the winners across 20 categories.

How it worked

1. Pitch an idea
Builders submitted a written pitch for one of five tracks: workplace efficiency, daily life enhancement, commercial solutions, social impact, and creative expression. No code was required at this stage, just a clear description of the idea, which AWS Free Tier services it would use, and why it mattered.

2. Build it
The top 1,000 semi-finalists turned their pitches into prototype apps using Kiro and AWS Free Tier services. Each app had to be completely original and previously unpublished. Semi-finalists then published a Builder Center article showcasing their app, the services they used, and a demo.

3. Community votes + expert review
Community voting narrowed the field to 300, AWS experts selected 50 finalists. Finalists submitted revised articles, followed by a final round of community voting and expert review that decided the 20 winners.

Eligibility requirements

The competition was open to individuals or teams of up to four. Participants needed to: 1) Be 18 years or older; 2) Have a valid AWS Builder ID; 3) Use Kiro; 4) Stay within AWS Free Tier limits; and 5) Reside in an eligible country.
