How I Started with AWS AI as a Student: Bedrock vs SageMaker?

As a B.Tech CSE final year student at Chaitanya University, I was confused between Bedrock and SageMaker. Here is my simple learning path for students on free tier, plus how I added Cloud Security with IAM and S3 encryption.

I am a B.Tech CSE 26 student at Chaitanya Deemed University, Hanamkonda, Warangal. Currently AWS AI and ML Scholar.

## The Confusion I Faced
1. Choosing service: Bedrock vs SageMaker
2. IAM setup: learning best practices
3. Cost: Understanding free tier
4. Project: Finding ideas to build

## What Worked For Me - Student Friendly Path

Step 1: IAM First
- Created IAM user with MFA, followed security best practices.

Step 2: Bedrock First, Not SageMaker
- Bedrock is for using AI models, simple and pay per use
- SageMaker is for training models, advanced
- I built a simple Q and A bot with Claude on Bedrock.

Step 3: Cost Safety
- Set Billing Alarm at 1 USD
- Used only Free Tier and Bedrock on-demand.

Step 4: Added Security
- S3 and KMS encryption for my data
- Learned Cloud trail basics.

## My Advice to Students
Start small with Bedrock. Do not jump to SageMaker directly. Secure first with IAM.
