Compute with Amazon EC2
we launched our first virtual server on Amazon EC2. We chose an Amazon Machine Image, picked an instance type, configured a security group, and connected over SSH. Watching a server come to life in under a minute was a real “this is why the cloud matters” moment.
Storage with Amazon S3
We then moved to Amazon S3, AWS’s object storage service. We created a bucket, uploaded files, explored storage classes, and hosted a simple static website. We also practiced bucket policies and kept public access blocked by default.
Networking Basics with VPC

The core idea: a VPC is your own private network inside AWS, and you decide what is public and what stays private.
