5 AWS Mistakes Every Beginner Should Avoid ☁️
Starting with AWS can feel confusing. There are many services, settings, and new concepts to understand. But beginners can avoid many problems by knowing a few common mistakes.
Here are 5 mistakes I think every AWS beginner should be aware of:
1️⃣ Using services without understanding them
Don’t try to learn everything at once. Start with the basics like EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC.
2️⃣ Ignoring IAM permissions
IAM controls who can access AWS resources. Always understand permissions before giving access.
3️⃣ Forgetting about AWS costs 💰
Some AWS services can generate charges. Always check your resources and billing regularly, especially while learning.
4️⃣ Not exploring the AWS Free Tier carefully
Free Tier does not mean every AWS service is completely free. Always check the current pricing and usage limits.
5️⃣ Learning only by watching tutorials
The best way to learn AWS is to practice. Create small projects, make mistakes, fix them, and learn from the experience.
My takeaway 🚀
You don't need to become an AWS expert in one day.
Learn → Practice → Make mistakes → Fix them → Repeat.
That's how real cloud skills are built.
💬 What was the first AWS service you learned?
