Introduction to System Design
As I begin learning System Design, I’m realizing that building software involves much more than writing code. It’s about understanding how different components work together to build applications that are reliable, efficient, and scalable.
System Design focuses on planning the structure of a software system, including how it handles requests, stores data, and communicates across different components.
Some of the key concepts I’m exploring include:
- Scalability: Handling growth in users and requests.
- Load Balancing: Distributing traffic across multiple servers.
- Caching: Improving performance by storing frequently accessed data.
- Database Design: Organizing and managing data efficiently.
- Reliability: Ensuring the system continues to function when failures occur.
As applications grow, choosing the right architecture becomes increasingly important. Cloud platforms like AWS provide services that help developers build and scale applications to meet changing demands.
I’m looking forward to exploring these concepts further and understanding how real-world systems are designed.
One step at a time, one concept at a time.
