A mobile dev's way into Amazon SageMaker, and what the AIF-C01 exam actually asks about it.

Software Engineer
I build mobile apps. For months, every time "SageMaker" came up in my AIF-C01 study, my brain filed it under "ML stuff" and moved on.
This week I finally sat down and learned what it actually is, and it turned out simpler than I thought. SageMaker is not one tool. It is more like one big building with a lot of rooms, and each room does one job.
Here is how I remember the rooms now.
SageMaker Canvas is the no-code room. You upload a CSV, click around, and get predictions. No Python, no notebooks. If a business team needs churn predictions without an ML expert, this is where they go.
SageMaker JumpStart is the shortcut room. Pre-trained models and ready-made solutions you can deploy in a few clicks. Like pulling in a library instead of writing the code yourself.
SageMaker Studio is the workshop. The full IDE for the ML team, with notebooks and debugging. If Canvas is a friendly app, Studio is the whole workshop.
Then the specialist rooms. Data Wrangler prepares your data. Feature Store keeps features in one place so training and inference use the same ones. Clarify checks for bias in data and models. Model Monitor watches a deployed model for drift, which is when real-world data stops looking like the training data.
The exam likes to ask which room to walk into. Business team needs predictions without ML expertise? Canvas. Deploy a pre-trained model fast? JumpStart. Detect bias? Clarify. Watch a deployed model? Model Monitor.
What surprised me: I expected deep training math. Most questions are really "pick the right tool for the job." That is a developer skill, just in a new neighborhood.
Are you also studying for AIF-C01? Which SageMaker service do you always mix up?
