4 AWS Badges, New Skills
From cloud fundamentals to AI-driven development, explore my latest AWS badges, key takeaways, and how you can earn three of them on AWS Skill Builder.
Learning cloud computing is not just about understanding services and concepts. It is also about building practical knowledge, exploring new technologies, and continuously improving your skills.
During the first half of October 2026, I earned four AWS badges through a combination of learning on AWS Skill Builder and my role as an AWS Student Builder Group Leader. Three of these badges reflect my individual learning progress, while the fourth recognizes my involvement in the AWS student community.
As a BCSIT student and the leader of the AWS Student Builder Group at Shubhashree College of Management (SCM), I see these achievements as opportunities to strengthen my technical foundation and encourage other students to explore AWS.

A Special Milestone: AWS SBG Surge Badge
Earned: October 7, 2026

Alongside my individual learning achievements, I also received the AWS SBG Surge Badge through my involvement as an AWS Student Builder Group Leader.
I received this badge in connection with hosting our third AWS Student Builder Group event. Unlike the three training badges, this achievement reflects my contribution to building an active student cloud community and creating learning opportunities for others.
Through organizing AWS sessions, supporting learners, and encouraging students to explore cloud technologies, I have come to appreciate that community leadership is also an important part of technical growth.
For me, this badge represents the work behind the scenes: planning learning activities, helping students get started with AWS, and making cloud education more accessible within our college.
How You Can Start Your Own AWS Learning Journey
If you are a student, beginner, or aspiring cloud professional, you do not need to master everything at once. Start with the fundamentals and build your knowledge step by step.
Here is a simple approach:
- Create an AWS Builder ID. Use it to access supported AWS learning experiences and connect your learning achievements with your AWS profile.
- Explore AWS Skill Builder. Begin with Cloud Essentials to develop a foundation in cloud computing.
- Learn interactively. Try Cloud Quest to reinforce your understanding of AWS services through practical scenarios.
- Explore emerging technologies. Study AI-driven development to understand how AI is becoming part of modern software engineering.
- Complete the required activities. Follow each official learning path or assessment and check the badge eligibility requirements.
- Share your progress. Once earned, your Credly badges can help you document and share your learning achievements with your network.
You can begin with the official AWS Skill Builder platform .
Keep in mind that training badges demonstrate learning and achievement, but they are not the same as AWS Certification. If your goal is to earn a professional certification, you can build on these foundations as you prepare for an appropriate AWS Certification exam.
Keep building. Keep learning. Keep sharing.
