Build an agent people actually enjoy using: MentorIA
A mentor to make a solid pathway to your professional future.
We all start from scratch at some point; none of us began out knowing we wanted to be a software engineer or a DevOps engineer. That’s why the path can seem uncertain for some people, especially in this age of AI. The world of technology is one of the most interesting and fascinating fields; it has so many branches, and there are so many possible paths to specialize in that when you’re just starting out, you don’t know which direction to take—as was the case for me.
That’s why my idea is to create a bot that maps out a path for you based on your goals and can explain why that path works. The idea is for it to draw on the profiles of people who are already working in your target field and supplement that with the latest trends.
Basic example: Do you want to be an AWS Solutions Architect in Santiago, Chile? Okay, you need to study for the AWS Solutions Architect exam. You can access free resources like AWS Skill Builder or watch these community videos for the information you need. There are also these AWS community events near you, as well as the events you missed and their organizers.
It will help you by showing you the pros and cons of your professional profile or the ideas you had about how to achieve your goals. For example, if you’re currently pursuing a college degree, or if you can’t afford certifications and courses. It shows you potential projects and gives you access to free resources like the AWS Skill Builder for students, making the path to your goals more accessible. It also connects you with communities in the places where you want to work, alerts you to events near you, and—if an event has already taken place—tells you who organized it so you can stay informed about the next one.
As a student, I look up to the people in this community—they’re all admirable individuals with whom I’d love to exchange thoughts and ideas someday. An AI agent like this would help me get closer to my goals, make the path easier, and help me enjoy the process by reducing some of the uncertainty about my future as a professional.
I know that to enter the contest I was supposed to upload proof that it's already working, but I wanted to post my article with the idea anyway to see if I can get feedback from the community and if it would truly be a tool that people—and especially students—could enjoy.
