You Don’t Need to Know Everything Before Starting Your Cloud Career

Starting in Cloud or DevOps can feel overwhelming. Here’s the mindset that helped me stop waiting for “perfect” and start learning by doing.

When I started learning Cloud and DevOps, I thought I needed to know Linux, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, networking… everything.
The result?
I kept learning, but often felt I wasn’t ready.
Then I realized something important:
You don’t become ready and then start. You start, struggle, and become ready along the way.
You don’t need to know every AWS service before launching your first EC2 instance.
You don’t need to master Docker before writing your first Dockerfile.
And you definitely don’t need to know everything before applying for your first Cloud/DevOps opportunity.
Learn → Build → Break → Fix → Repeat.
That’s where real confidence comes from.
💬 What was the first AWS/Cloud thing you built that made you think, “Okay, I can actually do this”?
