Starting My Data Science & AWS Journey

I am a B.Tech CSE student exploring the intersection of Data Science, Machine Learning, and AWS Cloud Computing to build scalable, intelligent applications.

About Me & My Interests
I am currently pursuing my B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering. While studying core CS fundamentals, I developed a strong interest in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Optimization Algorithms.
What excites me most about Data Science is turning raw, complex data into actionable insights—whether that involves training predictive models, analyzing large-scale datasets, or optimizing machine learning algorithms.
Why AWS for Data Science?
Data Science isn't just about training models in local notebooks; real-world AI/ML applications require scalable cloud infrastructure to process massive datasets and deploy models into production.
I decided to start learning Amazon Web Services (AWS) to bridge the gap between data science theory and cloud deployment. Understanding how cloud platforms handle data pipelines, distributed computing, and model hosting is essential for modern ML engineering.
Key AWS Services & Tools I Plan to Learn
To build a end-to-end Data Science workflow on the cloud, my learning roadmap focuses on:
AWS Glue & Amazon S3: Storing unstructured datasets cleanly in S3 buckets and using Glue for ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines.
Amazon Athena: Querying large-scale datasets directly in S3 using standard SQL without needing complex database setups.
Amazon SageMaker: Building, training, tuning, and deploying machine learning models efficiently at scale.
AWS Lambda: Automating data processing tasks and running lightweight serverless inference pipelines.
What's Next?
My immediate goal is to work on hands-on mini-projects—ranging from data cleaning and exploratory data analysis (EDA) on AWS to deploying a trained ML model via an API endpoint.
