AWS Builder Center

A small milestone in my AWS journey☁️

Third Article

It has been a little while since my last update, and I’m now at around 15 badges on AWS Skill Builder.
When I started this journey, my main goal was simply to understand the fundamentals of cloud computing and begin preparing for my first AWS certification.
I’m obviously still at the beginning, but something has changed that I didn’t really expect to happen this soon.
Because of what I’ve been learning on the platform, I now feel much more comfortable when AWS-related topics come up in conversations at my Internship.
I’m not at the point where I feel I have enough knowledge to give an opinion on architecture decisions yet, but I can at least follow part of the conversation, recognize some of the services being mentioned, and understand a little better why certain questions are being asked.
And honestly, that has probably been one of the most motivating parts of this journey so far.
Being able to listen to people who have much more experience discussing real AWS architectures, decisions, trade-offs, and possible solutions has made me even more interested in learning.
There is a big difference between seeing a service explained in a course and hearing experienced engineers discuss how these technologies are actually used in a real environment.
For now, I’m mostly listening, asking questions when I can, and trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible from those conversations.
Little by little, concepts that used to sound completely unfamiliar are starting to make more sense.
I’ve also continued completing activities and badges on AWS Skill Builder, and reaching around 15 badges feels like a nice milestone so far.
There is still a lot I don’t know, but I think that is also what makes the process exciting.
I’m just enjoying the process of learning and being able to connect what I study with what I’m starting to see in a real professional environment.
Hopefully, the next time I’m listening to one of those architecture discussions, I’ll understand a little more than I did the last time.
And maybe, eventually, I’ll feel ready to join the conversation too. 🚀
See you in the next update!
