From Learning AI to Building AI Solutions with AWS
Introduction
After starting my AWS learning journey, I wanted to go beyond simply understanding cloud concepts. My next goal is to learn how AWS can help me build practical Artificial Intelligence applications.
As a TYBSc BCS student specializing in Core Computer Science, I am interested in understanding how the concepts I learn can be turned into useful software solutions.
Why I Want to Build with AI
Artificial Intelligence is becoming an important part of modern software development. Generative AI, in particular, can help applications understand text, generate responses, summarize information, analyze content, and assist users with different tasks.
Rather than only using existing AI tools, I want to understand how developers can integrate AI capabilities into their own applications.
This is where AWS becomes interesting to me.
Exploring Amazon Bedrock
One AWS service I am currently interested in exploring is Amazon Bedrock.
Bedrock provides access to foundation models and capabilities that can be used to develop Generative AI applications. For someone beginning to explore AI and cloud computing, it provides an opportunity to understand how AI can become part of a larger application.
My goal is to learn the fundamentals first and gradually experiment with small AI-powered applications.
My Learning Approach
I am following a simple approach:
Learn → Experiment → Build → Improve
Instead of trying to learn every AWS service at once, I want to focus on services that connect with my interests in AI and software development.
I also want to document my experiments, understand my mistakes, and improve my projects based on what I learn.
What I Want to Build
Some of the AI applications I would like to explore include:
- AI assistants
- Document summarization tools
- AI-based data analysis applications
- Meeting and task assistants
- AI-powered web applications
These projects would allow me to combine my existing computer science knowledge with AWS and Generative AI.
Looking Ahead
I am still at the beginning of my AWS journey, but I see a lot of opportunities to learn through hands-on development.
My goal is to gradually move from learning individual concepts to building complete, useful applications using AWS.
I believe that every project, even a small one, is an opportunity to understand technology better.
