Starting My AWS Journey as a Student
Starting AWS as a student can feel confusing with so many services and concepts to explore. This article shares my first steps, what I learned, and how I’m slowly connecting AWS with my interests in AI and software development.
Introduction
When I first started exploring AWS, I wasn’t sure where to begin. As a B.Tech Artificial Intelligence and Data Science student, I was curious about how cloud technology could connect with AI, programming, and software development.
Why I Started Learning AWS
I wanted to understand how applications can work beyond my laptop and how cloud services can support real-world projects. Instead of simply memorizing AWS services, I wanted to understand why and when they are useful.
My First Challenge
The number of AWS services was a little overwhelming. I had many questions about what each service does and which ones I actually needed to learn.
I realized that trying to learn everything at once wasn’t the best approach.
Learning One Step at a Time
I started focusing on small concepts and connecting them with simple projects. Asking myself “Where can I use this?” helped me understand things better instead of just memorizing them.
Connecting AWS with AI
Since my main area is Artificial Intelligence, I’m interested in exploring how AWS can support AI and Machine Learning projects. This connection has made cloud learning more interesting for me.
Learning by Building
I believe building something small is one of the best ways to learn. My goal is to start with simple projects, learn from mistakes, and gradually build more useful applications.
Learning from the Community
The AWS Builder community also gives me an opportunity to discover what other developers and students are learning and building. I hope to take part in more workshops, challenges, and hands-on activities.
What’s Next?
I want to explore more about:
- AI and Machine Learning with AWS
- Cloud-based applications
- Hands-on AWS services
- Student projects
Final Thoughts
My AWS journey is still at the beginning, but I’ve learned that I don’t need to know everything before I start. Learn, try, make mistakes, and build again that’s how I want to continue my journey.
