The Countdown Begins: Preparing for the Launch of AWS Student Builder Group at SSPU 🚀
We have gotten our spark badge! Also something exciting is coming up....... Behind the scenes, our core team is working on everything from permissions and audience outreach to LinkedIn and Instagram promotions, a dynamic community website, QR-based passes, and automated certificate generation. This is a look at the teamwork, challenges, learning, and excitement that goes into building our community before the launch day.
Something exciting is taking shape at Symbiosis Skills & Professional University, Pune.
The official launch of our AWS Student Builder Group at SSPU is getting closer, and behind the scenes, our team has been putting in the work to make this more than just another college event.
The preparation is officially on.
Building More Than an Event
From the beginning, our goal has been to create an experience where students can discover AWS, connect with builders, explore cloud technologies, and become a part of a community that continues beyond the launch day.
That meant there was a lot to build before we could even think about the stage, photographs, or inauguration.
Our core team has been working together across different areas, from event planning and outreach to technology, design, content, and operations.
Everyone has had a role to play, and a lot of the progress has come from simply sitting together, discussing ideas, solving problems, and figuring things out as a team.
A Website Built for the Community
One of the biggest things we have been working on is our dynamic AWS Student Builder Group website.
We wanted the website to be useful not just for the launch, but for everything that comes after it.
The idea is to create a central place where students can:
- Discover upcoming and past events
- Learn about the AWS Student Builder Group
- Meet the Builder Core Team
- Explore our activities and initiatives
- Access event information through QR codes
- Register and participate in activities
- Request participation certificates
- Stay connected with our community
We are also working on QR-based passes and automated certificate generation, so that parts of the event experience can be streamlined through technology.
Instead of treating the website as just a digital poster, we are trying to build it as a small ecosystem for our student community.
Getting the Word Out
A launch only works when people know about it.
Our promotion efforts are already underway across LinkedIn and Instagram, where we are preparing launch creatives, announcements, behind-the-scenes content, and other community updates.
We are also working on ways to reach students beyond our existing network and bring people from different years, departments, and technical backgrounds into the community.
The objective is simple:
Make sure students know that something is being built for them.
The Challenges Behind the Scenes
Of course, getting everything ready has not been completely smooth.
One of the biggest parts of the preparation has been working through the required official permissions and approvals. Coordinating an initiative within a university means making sure the right processes are followed before moving ahead.
Audience reach has been another challenge.
It is one thing to plan an event. It is another thing to make sure students actually hear about it, understand why they should attend, and feel that they belong there.
There have also been plenty of smaller challenges along the way — last-minute changes, technical work, coordinating different responsibilities, refining ideas, and making sure everything connects together.
But that is also what makes the process exciting.
Every challenge gives the team something new to figure out.
One Team, One Launch
Perhaps the most rewarding part of this preparation has been seeing everyone work together.
Different people bring different strengths. Some focus on technology, some on operations, some on outreach and community, some on design, and others on making sure the small details do not get missed.
And somewhere between meetings, messages, website updates, promotional planning, and endless discussions, the launch has started becoming something that belongs to all of us.
We are learning that building a community is not just about having an idea.
It is about showing up, taking responsibility, helping each other, and continuing to move forward when things do not go exactly as planned.
The Countdown Is On 🚀
There is still plenty to do.
The website needs its final touches. Promotional activities are continuing. Permissions and logistics are being worked through. The team is preparing the final launch experience.
But the excitement is already here.
We are getting closer to officially introducing the AWS Student Builder Group at Symbiosis Skills & Professional University and opening the doors to a community where students can build, learn, connect, and grow with AWS.
This is only the beginning.
The launch is coming.
And we cannot wait to see where this community goes next.
See you at the launch. ☁️🚀
