Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) is one of the most important services in AWS. It allows users to create and run virtual servers, called instances, in the AWS Cloud.

One of the main advantages of EC2 is that we don't need to purchase or maintain physical servers. Instead, we can launch an EC2 instance when we need computing resources and configure it according to our requirements.

An EC2 instance can be used to host websites, run applications, process data, or perform many other computing tasks. We can choose the operating system, instance type, storage, and networking configuration based on our workload.

Another important concept is AMI (Amazon Machine Image). An AMI provides the information required to launch an EC2 instance, including the operating system and other configurations.

EC2 also provides flexibility because we can change resources as our application requirements change. AWS offers different pricing options, allowing us to choose an approach that fits our workload and budget.

What I learned:

While learning about Amazon EC2, I understood that cloud computing is not simply about creating a virtual machine. It also involves understanding compute resources, storage, networking, security, and cost management.

EC2 helped me understand how traditional servers can be replaced with flexible cloud-based infrastructure.
