Leveling Up: What I Learned After My First Week in AWS Builder Center
Sharing my progress, my experience with the AWS Builder Center streaks and badges, and the next core cloud services I am diving into.
Hello again, AWS Builders!
After publishing my very first article last week and officially unlocking my first badge, I wanted to share a quick update on my cloud learning journey. Keeping up with the consistency has been an exciting challenge, and I am loving the structure of the AWS Builder Center.
Staying active here has helped me move past the initial overwhelm and focus on what truly matters: steady, daily progress.
What I am Focusing on Right Now:
After publishing my very first article last week and officially unlocking my first badge, I wanted to share a quick update on my cloud learning journey. Keeping up with the consistency has been an exciting challenge, and I am loving the structure of the AWS Builder Center.
Staying active here has helped me move past the initial overwhelm and focus on what truly matters: steady, daily progress.
What I am Focusing on Right Now:
- Understanding Cloud Storage: Deep diving into AWS S3 buckets, permissions, and lifecycle policies.
- Compute Fundamentals: Learning how to launch, configure, and connect to Amazon EC2 instances securely.
- Maintaining My Streak: Building a daily habit of logging in, reading community insights, and voting on feature wishes to keep my learning momentum going.
The Power of Learning in Public:
The best part about this platform is seeing what other builders are creating. It makes the documentation feel alive. My next goal is to move from theoretical reading to deploying my very first static website or basic infrastructure using the services I am studying.
Thank you to everyone who liked and commented on my first post! It feels great to be part of such a supportive community.
To my fellow builders: How are you keeping up with your daily learning streaks? What is the one AWS service that took you the longest to fully understand? Let's chat in the comments!
