How AWS Is Helping Me Understand Cloud Computing
As a B.Tech CSE student, I’m learning AWS to understand how cloud technologies are used in real-world applications. This article shares some of the concepts I’m exploring and how I’m building my cloud knowledge step by step.
🌐 Understanding Cloud Computing
Cloud computing has changed the way applications and services are developed and delivered. Instead of depending only on local computers and physical servers, organizations can use cloud platforms to access computing resources whenever they need them.
As a B.Tech CSE student, learning these concepts is helping me understand how modern applications work behind the scenes.
☁️ Exploring AWS
AWS provides many services for different cloud requirements. While learning, I’m gradually exploring services such as Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, and Amazon RDS.
EC2 helps me understand cloud-based computing and virtual servers. S3 introduces me to cloud storage, while Lambda helps me explore the idea of running code without managing servers directly.
Learning these services individually is helping me understand how different cloud components can work together.
💻 Learning Through Practice
One important lesson I’m learning is that practical experience is just as important as theory.
Instead of only reading about AWS services, I want to practice with small projects and gradually increase their complexity. This approach helps me understand concepts more clearly and remember what I learn.
I’m also learning the importance of cost awareness and responsible cloud usage while experimenting with AWS.

My goal is to continue improving my AWS and cloud computing skills through consistent learning and hands-on practice.
As I progress, I want to build small projects, document my learning journey, and develop the confidence to work with cloud technologies in real-world scenarios.
