🌐 DNS: How Domain Names Find the Right Server

Learn how DNS converts domain names into IP addresses and enables websites and cloud services to communicate efficiently. 🌐☁️

When we visit a website, we usually type a name like google.com instead of remembering a long IP address. DNS (Domain Name System) helps convert a human-friendly domain name into an IP address that computers can understand.
For example, when we enter example.com, the DNS system finds the IP address associated with that domain. The browser can then use that IP address to communicate with the correct server.

🔹 How DNS Works

google.com → DNS → IP Address → Google Server
DNS also uses caching, which helps avoid looking up the same domain repeatedly and makes website access faster.

☁️ DNS in AWS

AWS provides Amazon Route 53, a DNS and domain service that can route users to applications and resources. DNS is an important part of cloud networking because users normally access applications using domain names rather than directly using IP addresses.
Understanding DNS gives a strong foundation for learning web hosting, domain names, load balancing, AWS Route 53, and cloud architecture. 🌐☁️
