AWS Lambda Gets Scalable Network Bandwidth
AWS Lambda now provides scalable network bandwidth for high-memory functions, helping reduce execution time for data-intensive workloads.
AWS Lambda now supports scalable network bandwidth for functions with 2,048 MB or more memory running outside a VPC.
Bandwidth can scale from 625 Mbps up to 3,000 Mbps as memory increases.
This can benefit:
- Data processing
- AI inference
- Large file transfers
- Latency-sensitive workloads
Basic flow:

The important point is that increasing Lambda memory can now improve not only CPU performance but also network throughput.
Would you increase Lambda memory to improve network performance?
