Why AWS Skill Builder Badges Matter

AWS badges may not have the same value as certifications, but they demonstrate practical experience with AWS services, troubleshooting, and real-world cloud scenarios. Keep learning, keep building, and stay curious. ā˜ļøšŸš€

AWS badges are often overlooked, but they can be a great way to demonstrate practical cloud skills and hands-on experience.
Unlike certifications, badges do not carry the same industry weight. However, they prove that you have worked with AWS services, completed real-world scenarios, and practiced troubleshooting, configuration, and solution deployment in a controlled environment.
Many AWS Skill Builder labs simulate production-like situations, allowing you to gain experience with provisioning resources, diagnosing issues, and understanding how different AWS services work together.
One important piece of advice: use the AWS Free Tier whenever possible. Hands-on practice is the best way to understand why services exist, how they are configured, and what can go wrong during implementation.
Some labs can be challenging and time-sensitive. I recommend setting aside at least two uninterrupted hours to complete them. If you do not finish a lab attempt, you may need to wait before trying again, so preparation and study are essential.
The cloud journey is not only about passing exams. Stay curious, keep building, keep troubleshooting, and never stop learning.
