I'm Making a Monster (PT 1)
I’m pushing OpenCode to its limits, with AWS powering the engine, sharing missteps, lessons learned, and a touch of light humor.
I Created a Monster
Hey, dear reader. I will keep this short. Basically? I created a monster, and it just will not stop growing!
A while back I found OpenCode, an open source AI coding agent that plugs into more than 75 AI providers. I installed it with zero evil plans, just wanted to poke around. Then I got carried away and the monster was born: every bug it hits, every rock in its way, just makes it stronger.

You have no idea how much fun this is. I feel like Tony Stark building Jarvis. Let me show you what my OpenCode can already pull off, starting simple with one of the first services I plugged in: Spotify.

It can pick songs, create, edit or delete playlists. If you were looking for a good DJ, you just found him.
Here is a fun one, I also hooked it up to my ClickUp, which is basically a project and task management platform that brings team work together in one place, a bit like Trello but with fewer limits on the free plan. Just look at what OpenCode can already do with it:

With this combo, I can get pinged about my duties by email or mobile app, and sync everything with Google Calendar. The possibilities are pretty much endless.
But trust me, it does not stop here, there is one more thing I need to show you. Besides being a Computer Scientist, I also work with Digital Marketing and data analysis, and I mainly use Meta's platform, the Meta Ads Manager, to run my ads. And using the Meta Developers platform, I built an APP that links OpenCode to my Meta ad account. Now I can create, edit or delete my ads, plus make sense of the platform data way faster. I can spit out spreadsheets and reports with just 1 prompt. Here is how it works:

What my Jarvis can do now 🎛️
- Spotify: spin up party playlists from scratch, dig up that song stuck in your head, queue the next track without leaving the keyboard and skip the boring ones before anyone notices.
- ClickUp: turn messy ideas into tidy tasks, shuffle sections and workspaces around, set due dates, ping teammates and keep deadlines from sneaking up on you.
- Meta Ads: launch new ads in seconds, tweak the winners, pause the money burners, pull performance insights and turn boring numbers into clean sheets and reports with one prompt.
And I am just getting started. I still plan to plug a bunch of other tools into OpenCode and find a way to bring it to mobile natively, kind of Jarvis in my pocket style. If you enjoyed this ride, drop a like and tell me in the comments what part you found most interesting.
