Getting Started with Amazon SageMaker AI: From Model Training to Machine Learning
Explore my hands-on learning journey with Amazon SageMaker AI, covering the fundamentals of SageMaker, model training, and building machine learning models using AWS.
Getting Started with Amazon SageMaker AI
As part of my journey into AWS Cloud and Machine Learning, I completed three AWS Training & Certification learning experiences focused on Amazon SageMaker AI.
The learning path included:
- Amazon SageMaker AI – Getting Started
- Lab – Train a Model with Amazon SageMaker
- Lab – Build Machine Learning Models with Amazon SageMaker
All three were completed on October 5, 2026.
1. Amazon SageMaker AI – Getting Started
The first learning experience introduced me to Amazon SageMaker AI and its role in working with machine learning workloads on AWS.
It helped me understand the fundamentals of getting started with SageMaker and provided a foundation for the hands-on labs that followed.
2. Training a Model with Amazon SageMaker
The next step was a hands-on lab focused on training a machine learning model using Amazon SageMaker.
This helped me understand the practical workflow involved in training a model using a managed AWS machine learning service.
The key takeaway was understanding how SageMaker can support the model-training process without requiring the underlying machine learning infrastructure to be managed manually.
3. Building Machine Learning Models with Amazon SageMaker
The third learning experience focused on building machine learning models with Amazon SageMaker.
This extended my understanding beyond the introductory concepts and gave me additional hands-on exposure to working with machine learning models using SageMaker.
What I Learned
Through these learning experiences, I strengthened my understanding of:
- Amazon SageMaker AI
- Machine learning workflows on AWS
- Training machine learning models
- Building machine learning models
- Using AWS managed services for machine learning
Why This Matters to My Cloud Journey
My primary area of interest is Cloud and DevOps, and learning about SageMaker helped me understand how cloud infrastructure and machine learning services can work together.
AWS provides managed services that allow teams to focus more on developing and deploying solutions while reducing the amount of infrastructure that needs to be managed manually.
Learning SageMaker is therefore a valuable addition to my AWS knowledge and gives me a broader understanding of cloud-based machine learning.
What's Next?
I plan to continue strengthening my skills in:
- AWS Cloud
- Cloud Architecture
- DevOps
- Machine Learning
- Cloud-based application deployment
I'm looking forward to applying these concepts through more hands-on projects and real-world use cases.
Learning never stops. One lab, one concept, and one project at a time. 🚀
