From Confused to Confident in AWS
A few weeks ago, AWS felt overwhelming. So many services, so many terms — EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM… it honestly felt like too much. But instead of getting stuck in tutorials, I decided to learn by building
💡 Here’s what I focused on:
- Understanding why each AWS service exists (not just what it does)
- Building small projects instead of passive learning
- Debugging errors (yes… a LOT of errors 😭)
🔧 What I’ve worked on so far:
- Static website hosting using S3
- Serverless backend using Lambda + API Gateway
- Basic database integration
- Handling real issues like CORS errors and permissions
And trust me… fixing one real bug teaches more than watching 10 tutorials.
✨ Biggest learnings:
- Cloud is not about memorizing services — it's about connecting them
- Errors are part of the process (especially AWS permissions 😅)
- Deployment matters — not just writing code
📈 What’s next for me:
- Diving deeper into Docker + Cloud integration
- Building more production-like projects
- Exploring system design with AWS
If you're starting with AWS, my advice:
👉 Don’t try to learn everything
👉 Pick a project and start building
👉 Break things. Fix them. Repeat.

Would love to connect with others learning Cloud ☁️
