My First Steps into AWS: A Beginner’s Learning Journey

Starting something new in technology can be challenging, especially when there are so many services and concepts to learn. As a student interested in AI and Data Science, I started exploring AWS to understand how cloud computing can support real-world applications.

Why I Started Learning AWS

AWS provides many cloud services that are useful for software development, data science, artificial intelligence, and other technologies. Learning AWS can help students understand how applications and data can be managed in the cloud.

Start With the Basics

For beginners, it is better not to try learning everything at once. A simple learning path can be:
  1. Understand what cloud computing means.
  2. Learn the basic AWS services.
  3. Explore the AWS Management Console.
  4. Try small hands-on activities.
  5. Build simple projects.
  6. Gradually explore advanced services.

Learn by Practicing

Reading concepts is useful, but hands-on practice makes learning easier. Even small experiments can help beginners understand how AWS services work.
For example, beginners can start by exploring services such as:
  • Amazon S3 for storing data
  • AWS IAM for understanding access and permissions
  • Amazon EC2 for learning about cloud computing resources
  • AWS Lambda for learning serverless computing

Build Small Projects

Projects are a great way to connect theory with practical knowledge. Instead of starting with a large project, beginners can create simple projects and improve them step by step.
For example, a student could build a simple website and explore how AWS can be used to host or support it.

My Learning Goal

My goal is to continue learning AWS along with AI and Data Science. I want to improve my technical skills through hands-on practice and small projects.

Final Thoughts

AWS may look complex when starting, but learning it step by step makes the journey easier. Beginners should focus on understanding the basics, practicing regularly, and building small projects.
