My AWS Cloud Learning Journey: Getting Started with AWS
I recently started learning AWS and explored the fundamentals of cloud computing through AWS Skill Builder. In this article, I share what I learned and my next steps in my AWS learning journey.
My AWS Cloud Learning Journey
I recently started my journey into cloud computing with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
As a Computer Science student, I wanted to understand how cloud platforms are used to build, deploy, and manage applications. AWS Skill Builder has helped me learn the fundamentals in a structured way.
What I Learned
I completed the AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials course and learned about some important AWS concepts, including:
- AWS Regions and Availability Zones
- Amazon EC2
- Amazon S3
- Amazon VPC
- AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Auto Scaling
- The AWS shared responsibility model
- AWS monitoring and management services
One thing I found interesting was how AWS divides its infrastructure into Regions and Availability Zones to provide scalability and reliability.
My Next Steps
My goal is to continue learning AWS and gain more practical experience by working with AWS services and hands-on labs.
I also want to learn more about serverless computing, databases, networking, and cloud security.
Conclusion
Starting with AWS has helped me understand how cloud computing works beyond just theory. I plan to keep practicing, build small projects, and gradually prepare for an AWS certification.
I am looking forward to learning more and sharing my progress with the AWS Builder community.
