Lesser Known AWS Features — Day 12: VPC Reachability Analyzer
Day 12 of my AWS learning journey: Today I explored VPC Reachability Analyzer, a feature that I had not used before.
When working with AWS networking, sometimes a connection simply doesn't work, and finding the reason can take a lot of time. We may have to check route tables, security groups, network ACLs, gateways, and other configurations one by one.
What I found interesting about Reachability Analyzer is that it can analyze the network path between two AWS resources and help identify whether communication is possible.
For example, we can analyze whether one resource can reach another and get information about where the network path is blocked if connectivity is not possible.
I think this can be really useful while troubleshooting VPC connectivity and security configurations, especially when a network becomes more complex.
For me, it was a good reminder that AWS has tools not only for building infrastructure, but also for helping us understand why something is not working.
Have you ever used VPC Reachability Analyzer to troubleshoot a networking issue?
