Week 1 - 3: I learn and got the AWS AI Practitioner

Three Weeks to AWS Certified AI Practitioner

I passed the AWS Certified AI Practitioner exam on September 29—just two days before my October 1 deadline!
Before this, I had spent about two months exploring basic AWS services and had already hosted a website myself. A 50% discount coupon from Pearson VUE gave me an extra push to book the exam and commit to three weeks of preparation.
My main study resources were the AWS AI Practitioner course on freeCodeCamp’s YouTube channel and practice questions from AWS Skill Builder. I took the exam at a testing center, and the difficulty felt similar to what I had practiced.
The exam covers five domains: AI and ML fundamentals, generative AI fundamentals, applications of foundation models, responsible AI, and security, compliance, and governance for AI solutions. The official AWS exam guide  provides the full breakdown.
Looking back, I would spend more time on concepts such as responsible AI and the machine learning lifecycle. Understanding fairness, bias, and explainability, along with how an ML project moves from data preparation to evaluation and monitoring, deserves careful attention during preparation.
I would also change how I split my study time. Labs helped me explore AWS, but for this exam, I would spend more time reviewing practice questions and understanding why each option was right or wrong. I’m also preparing for the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam, which I plan to take in early November!
My advice: use practice questions to find gaps in your understanding, then revisit those concepts. Three weeks was my timeline, but your starting point may be different.
It was a close finish, and I’m happy I made it! For this time i will update process more frequently.
