Lesser Known AWS Features — Day 11: AWS Config Advanced Query

Day 11 of my AWS learning journey: Today I explored AWS Config Advanced Query, a feature I had not paid much attention to before.

Student
We usually think of AWS Config as a service that records how our AWS resources are configured and how their configuration changes over time. But one interesting part is that we can actually query resource configuration information using SQL-like queries.
For example, instead of manually checking different resources, we can ask questions about our AWS environment such as which resources exist, what configurations they have, or which resources match certain conditions.
I found this useful because when an AWS environment grows, manually checking every resource can become difficult. Advanced Query can make resource inventory, security checks, compliance reviews, and operational analysis much easier.
What I liked most is that it turns configuration data into something we can actually search and analyze, rather than just viewing it resource by resource.
For me, this was another reminder that AWS has many useful features hidden inside services we already know.
Have you used AWS Config Advanced Query before, or do you mainly use AWS Config for tracking configuration changes?
