Starting My 100-Day AWS Learning Journey πβοΈ
Introduction
Iβm starting a new challenge: 100 days of learning and building with AWS.
As a B.Tech Information Technology student, Iβve been exploring different areas of technology, including software development, Artificial Intelligence, and cloud computing. I wanted to take a more structured approach to learning AWS instead of simply studying individual services without a clear direction.
So, I decided to dedicate the next 100 days to learning AWS, experimenting with cloud services, building projects, and documenting my progress along the way.
Why AWS?
Cloud computing has become an important part of modern software development. Applications today need to be scalable, reliable, secure, and accessible from anywhere.
AWS provides a large ecosystem of cloud services that can be used to build and deploy real-world applications.
My goal isn't to learn every AWS service in 100 days. Instead, I want to understand the fundamentals, gain hands-on experience, and gradually become comfortable building applications on the cloud.
My 100-Day Goals
During these 100 days, I plan to focus on:
- βοΈ Understanding AWS and cloud computing fundamentals
- π Learning important concepts related to security and IAM
- π₯οΈ Exploring compute services
- ποΈ Understanding cloud storage and databases
- π Learning networking fundamentals
- π Understanding application deployment
- π Exploring monitoring and cloud management
- π οΈ Building small hands-on projects
- π Documenting what I learn
- π― Completing relevant AWS learning activities and badges
My Learning Approach
I want this challenge to be more than just watching tutorials.
For every topic I learn, I want to follow a simple cycle:
Learn β Practice β Build β Document β Repeat
Whenever possible, Iβll try to use AWS services practically instead of only learning their definitions.
I also plan to use AWS Builder Center to learn from the community, explore technical content, participate in discussions, and share my own learning experiences.
What I Expect to Build
As I progress, I want to create small projects that gradually become more complex.
Some possible areas include:
- Static websites hosted on AWS
- Serverless applications
- APIs and backend services
- Cloud-based data processing
- AI/ML-related cloud experiments
- Full-stack applications deployed using AWS services
Iβll decide the exact projects as I learn more about the available services and concepts.
Day 1
Today marks Day 1 of 100.
I don't have everything figured out yet, and that's exactly why I'm starting this challenge.
The goal is to learn consistently, experiment without being afraid of mistakes, and understand how cloud technologies can be applied to real-world applications.
I'll be documenting my progress throughout this journey and sharing what I learn along the way.
Final Thoughts
Starting something new is always easier than staying consistent.
My challenge now is to show up for the next 100 days, learn something useful every day, and turn that knowledge into practical experience.
Day 1/100 β Let's begin. π
