We are thrilled to announce the KIRO BUILD CHALLENGE, an intensive 18.5-hour online speed sprint conducted jointly by the AWS Student Builder Group at Graphic Era University (GEU) and the AWS Student Builder Group at Panipat Institute of Engineering & Technology (PIET) .
Whether you are an undergraduate developer, an open-source contributor, or an aspiring cloud architect, this challenge gives you the space to architect, prototype, and ship a real-world software solution using Kiro — an AI-powered developer environment built to turn specifications and workflows into production-ready software.
Challenge Format & Timeline
The entire challenge takes place 100% online. You can participate from anywhere.
- Format: Solo Builders (1 member) or Duo Teams (up to 2 members)
- Cohort Cap: Limited to 100 builders to ensure dedicated evaluation and mentorship
- Sprint Window: Saturday 6:00 PM to Sunday 10:00 PM IST
- Active Build Window: Saturday 7:00 PM to Sunday 1:30 PM IST (18.5 hours of pure building)
- Evaluation: Sunday 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM IST across 6 weighted criteria
- Closing Ceremony & Awards Reveal: Sunday 10:00 PM IST live
Important Registration Rule: Only the Team Lead needs to register on Meetup on behalf of the team!
Masterclass: Building Production-Ready Cloud Apps with Kiro
To kick off the sprint, we are hosting a featured live workshop and keynote:

All registered builders receive free access to Kiro for the duration of the sprint.

- Open Innovation: Any bold, unconventional idea that solves a real-world friction point using Kiro.
