A Student Trying to Learn AWS Without Breaking the Bank — Looking for Your Support
And if you're also a student trying to break into cloud computing, tell me what you're currently learning. Maybe i can help! good luck to everyone who is learning AWS and building their career.
Hi AWS Community,
I’m a final-year Computer Science Engineering student from India, and I’m currently working hard to build my career in Cloud and AWS.
Like many students, I want to learn AWS properly, build real projects, and eventually earn an AWS certification. But there’s one practical problem — the cost of certification is difficult for me to afford as a student.
So, I’ve started exploring the AWS Builder Center community, learning resources, and badges as a way to learn consistently and become more involved with the AWS ecosystem.
I’m not going to pretend that I’m an AWS expert. I’m still learning.
I’m currently learning topics such as:
- AWS Cloud fundamentals
- IAM and security basics
- EC2 and compute
- S3 and storage
- Cloud architecture
- Deployment and DevOps
- AWS services that I can use in my projects
I’m also trying to apply what I learn to my projects instead of simply collecting certificates.
For example, I’m working on projects such as EduAgent, an AI-based web orchestration platform, and IncidentOS, an incident-response platform where I’m exploring how AWS cloud services can fit into real-world architectures.
Why am I writing this?
Honestly, I’m trying to earn AWS Builder Center badges and become more active in the community.
As a student, I can’t easily spend $100+ on certifications whenever I want. So these community learning opportunities are extremely valuable to me.
If you’re already part of the AWS community, I’d genuinely appreciate it if you could:
