I Opened Cloud Computing 101, Understood Nothing, Closed My Laptop and Went Outside. Now I Have 7 AWS Credentials.

I closed Cloud Computing 101 on Day 1 because I understood nothing. 3 months later, I have 7 AWS credentials. Here's what 7 months of overthinking didn't teach me.

Hi, I'm Rabia, aka The Lady Dev.
January to June: My Professional Overthinking Era
For 7 months I had 3 tabs open in my brain: Machine Learning, AI Automation, and Cloud.
I was doing intense research, which is a fancy way of saying I was watching YouTube at 2am and feeling guilty. I couldn't decide which one to choose.
Then I realized I love games like Monopoly. And Cloud is literally Monopoly with extra steps, limited resources, quotas, strategy, and if you build wrong, you're broke. It felt familiar. So in July, I chose Cloud. Just like that. My 7 months of research ended because of a board game.
July to September: The Plot Twist
In July, I finally started. And I swear this is true, on my first day of actual study, I opened "Cloud Computing 101" on AWS Training.
I opened it, stared at it for 2 minutes, understood NOTHING, closed my laptop, and went outside. I was like, "Nope, this is too difficult, I can't do this."
That was my actual Day 1.
And now? It's September. In less than 3 months, I have 3 AWS Badges and 4 Certificates from AWS Training & Certification, and I'm working on my 4th badge.
From a girl who closed Cloud 101 on Day 1 because it was too difficult, to a girl with 7 AWS credentials in 3 months.
7 months of thinking taught me nothing. 3 months of actually doing taught me everything.
In January I didn't even know how to open the AWS Management Console. Now I can navigate it, create resources, and I actually understand what I'm doing.
Why I Started _rabia_nizamani on Instagram
After I started Cloud, I went on a hunt to find people in this field near me. I searched everywhere in Hyderabad. I couldn't find a single person, no community, no mentor, no one doing AWS around me.
I felt alone, so I decided to become the person I was looking for.
That's why I started my channel _rabia_nizamani on Instagram. I started uploading content so that I could find my people, and more importantly, so I could help others who are thinking about this field but are not able to start.
I know many students don't choose Cloud because they think AWS is expensive. They think you need a credit card, you need to pay dollars, it's not for us. I thought the same.
But the truth is, you can learn almost everything in the Free Tier, with AWS Training which is free, and you can build so much without spending a single rupee. I wanted to show that.
If you are that person who is scared because you think it's expensive or too difficult, I'm making these 120 videos for you.
My system is simple: 14 Videos = 1 Series = 2 Months. One page of handwritten notes = one video. My 120-video degree will be done by March 2028.
If you're on Day 1 and you just closed Cloud 101, hi, that was me. Open it again tomorrow.
