FIG AI Design Makeathon: Winner Demo — Live at the AWS Builder Loft

See the winning prototypes from a 3-day AI design makeathon, presented live by the designers and builders who created them.

AI is creating new products, behaviors, workflows, and interaction patterns faster than traditional design practices can keep up. The FIG AI Design Makeathon asked design students and emerging builders to tackle real-world AI design problems — and turn their ideas into working prototypes in three days.
On October 22, the winning teams take the stage at the AWS Builder Loft in San Francisco to demo their work live in front of judges, sponsors, founders, designers, and engineers.
What you'll experience
  • Live demos of the winning prototypes — functional, interactive, built with AI-enabled tools
  • Team presentations and Q&A with the designers behind the work
  • Awards and sponsor recognition
  • Networking with judges, mentors, partners, and the Bay Area AI + design community
  • A first look at how the next generation of designers thinks about human–AI interaction
The challenge behind the demos
The first makeathon challenge: Design the Multi-Agent Dashboard — designing the human interface for an agentic organization. As organizations run AI agents across research, sales, finance, operations, and support, teams explored how humans should supervise, understand, and control systems of collaborating agents: agent graphs, approval flows, risk and escalation systems, human override controls, and entirely new interaction models.
Who should attend
Designers, product builders, founders, engineers, and anyone working on AI products, agents, or human–AI interaction — plus recruiters and partners looking to discover emerging design talent through real work.
