Most software in India is designed for 25-year-olds in Bengaluru with 5G phones and fluent English.
When designing ClearCase, we started with a radically different user persona: A 54-year-old smallholder farmer who has never used a dropdown menu, cannot read English, and gets intimidated by formal legal notices.
If your application requires typing, rural India cannot use it.
Here is how ClearCase built for #FirstCommit by #WeMakeDevs redesigns dispute resolution for low-literacy citizens:
  1. Zero Typing, Pure Voice: The home screen features a single, prominent 80px microphone button. The user taps once and talks. An interactive waveform animates in real time, giving instant psychological reassurance that their voice is being captured.
  2. The Suno Audio-First Feedback Loop: Every legal clause, precedent summary, and settlement term has a dedicated audio playback button. Powered by Amazon Polly's neural engine (Kajal and Aditi), the legal terms are spoken aloud in warm, natural conversational Hindi. If a villager cannot read the text, their ears verify every clause.
  3. High-Contrast, Dignified Aesthetics:
  • Slate Navy (#0F172A): Evokes institutional trust and legal authority.
  • Warm Saffron (#D97706): Friendly, culturally resonant visual anchors.
  • Emerald Green (#059669): Denotes mutual agreement and verified consent.
Crafted by Team TableTurners:
  • Ansh Johnson: Spearheaded the vernacular UI/UX architecture, audio waveform animations, and low-cognitive-load design system.
  • Akshat Arya (Team Lead): Built the dialect re-synthesizer that translates dense statutory provisions into colloquial spoken idioms.
  • Shankar Pratap Singh: Optimized the backend streaming pipeline to deliver instant Polly audio payloads to mobile devices.
  • Mayank: Simplified the two-party cryptographic signing flow into a frictionless, two-tap mobile experience.
Technology does not bridge the digital divide until it removes the literacy barrier. ClearCase makes justice as simple as pressing record.
