Congratulations Akira Nishikawa !

We'd like to welcome Akira as our newest member of the CB Spotlight 5-Timers Club. Your series on bot mitigation and edge security turns CloudFront into a full detection-and-response platform. On their fictional plaque it reads:
Akira built something rare in the Community Builders program: a complete, interconnected technical series where each article stands on its own but gains power from the others. His work spans automated phishing takedowns using Lambda and Bedrock, impossible location detection with Lambda@Edge, JA4H fingerprint implementation in CloudFront Functions, a feedback loop connecting application-layer detection to edge enforcement via WAF and CloudFront KVS, and a final piece tying it all together with scoring logic, structured logging, and operational guidance. Every article includes working code, Terraform configurations, and honest discussion of the tradeoffs involved.
What stands out is the depth of original research. Akira discovered that CloudFront-Viewer-Country isn't available in Viewer Request Lambda, tested KVS propagation latency and found 30-second windows with interleaved old/new values, measured batch vs. sequential update performance, and validated that WAF-provided JA4 matches the origin request policy value. He didn't just describe architectures; he built them, hit the walls, and documented what he found on the other side. This is the kind of contribution that makes other builders better at their jobs.
