Introducing Student Rewards on AWS Builder Center
Verified university students can now earn AWS Credits, premium Skill Builder, and a certification exam voucher on Builder Center.
Today, we're launching Student Rewards on AWS Builder Center, a benefit that gives verified higher education students access to AWS Credits, 12 months of premium Skill Builder courses, and an AWS Certification Foundational exam voucher as they learn, build, and connect in the community.
This represents a commitment of over $500 million in resources during this back to school season with the training, tools, and certification needed to start building your career in cloud and AI.
Here's what you get
When you verify your enrollment and complete your Builder Center profile, you unlock your first reward of 12 months of premium Skill Builder access with 900+ courses, hands-on labs, certification exam prep, and game-based learning. From there, you earn badges through actions on Builder Center: publishing articles, commenting, maintaining engagement, and each badge you earn works toward unlocking the next reward.
How it works
- Verify your student status. Sign in to Builder Center and complete verification through SheerID. Provide your name, institution, and email. Most verifications complete in minutes; some may require additional documentation.
- Complete your profile. Upload a photo and fill out the About section. This unlocks your welcome reward of 12 months of Skill Builder premium ($449 worth of access).
- Earn badges, unlock rewards. Publish articles, comment, maintain engagement. At 7 badges you unlock $10 in AWS Credits. At 14 badges, another $20 in credits. And at 21 badges, you earn an AWS Foundational Certification exam voucher ($100).
Find your people
Looking to connect with peers in person? AWS Student Builder Groups are student-led communities at universities in 60+ countries. Students come together to explore cloud technology, build projects, and grow their skills with people who are at the same stage as them.
You don't have to be a student to use Builder Center
AWS Builder Center is a free community for developers at any level. Builders can sign up and access hands-on workshops with real AWS environments (no credit card required), read and publish articles, share projects, build a public profile that showcases your work, and connect with fellow builders worldwide through community Spaces organized by topic and region.
