AWS Finops chatbot in 5 mins

In this article we are exploring AWS FINOPS AGENT introduced by AWS, it can help us with Cloud Financial Management. It is not interested in answering "how many eks cluster i have", but it likes to respond to "cost of running eks cluster".

Currently this agent is introduced in us-east-1 region alone. It is in public preview.

In AWS Console of region, us-east-1, type AWS FINOPS AGENT.

The page shown below is displayed. We can provide a name for the agent.

We can map the agent to a role or let it auto create for accessing AWS resources I have used auto create option.

We can map the web application of the agent to a role or let it auto create. I have used auto create option.

We can integrate with Jira or Slack. I have not chosen any options. and clicked on submit button.

The Agent was created successfully, and it was mapped to my AWS Account.

I gave some prompts and tested the agent. We could see guardrails in the application.

We can chat with the Agent, setup Automations using this Agent, we can upload our documents and ensure Agent gives response specific to our organization context. There are lot of opportunities to explore and implement.
