From San Francisco to the World: AWS Builder Lofts to open in Berlin, São Paulo, and Hyderabad

We've been running AWS community programs  for years, and the feedback from the community is clear: building is better together. That's why we built the first AWS Builder Loft in San Francisco and now we're taking it global.

Builder Lofts are spaces designed to help local technical communities and individual builders level up in a fast-moving, AI-driven world, while building real relationships through in-person interaction.

Builders: Browse our public per-location calendars for upcoming events. Berlin, São Paulo, and Hyderabad will launch later this year. In the meantime, you can check out what's happening in San Francisco .

We've set up Spaces for each location where you can follow news about openings, programming, and more:

Community leaders: You can host events at the Builder Loft for free. We're accepting early requests at our new locations for 2027 events here . If you're in the San Francisco Bay Area, you can request to host at the San Francisco location here .

Every Builder Loft is built around hands-on technical learning. Workshops, hackathons, product deep dives, office hours, demos, certification prep, and community-led sessions are all focused on real-world skills and getting hands-on with new technology.

In San Francisco last year, we welcomed over 22,000 builders. On any given week there are four to eight events running at the Builder Loft. Everything from generative AI deep dives and startup pitch nights, to student coding sessions and cross-industry hackathons.

The feedback from the Builder Loft in San Francisco is the best programming comes from fellow builders. Local meetups with AWS User Groups, Student Builder Groups, Heroes, Community Builders, startups, universities, and technology partners all shape the calendar. This community-first model is the foundation of the global expansion.

We will have exclusive merch, games, and competitions where you earn rewards, badges, and more. Stay tuned for more updates in the Spaces linked above. See you at a Builder Loft soon!
