Kiro Blueprint: Reusable Specs, Hooks, and Steering for Kiro Projects
Kiro Blueprint is a registry and CLI for sharing reusable Kiro workflows. It lets builders publish, browse, inspect, and install specs, hooks, and steering files instead of rebuilding the same project setup from scratch.

The Inspiration
When building with Kiro, I realised that a lot of the real value is not only in the source code.
It also lives inside the
.kiro folder — the specs, hooks, and steering files that guide how a project should be built. But once a project is done, those workflows usually stay locked inside that repo.
So I built Kiro Blueprint: a simple way for builders to package, share, upload, and download reusable Kiro workflows.
What Is Kiro Blueprint?
Kiro Blueprint is a place to share reusable Kiro project workflows.
Instead of rebuilding the same specs, hooks, and steering files from scratch, builders can publish a blueprint and let others install it into their own Kiro project.
The goal is simple:
Make useful Kiro workflows easier to reuse.
What Can You Share?
A Kiro blueprint can include things like:
1
2
3
.kiro/specs/
.kiro/hooks/
.kiro/steering/
This means you are not just sharing an idea.
You are sharing the actual workflow structure that helps guide a Kiro project.
How It Works
The website is designed to help builders understand how to:
- upload or publish a Kiro blueprint
- browse available blueprints
- download or install a blueprint into another project
- reuse specs, hooks, and steering files across projects
This makes it easier for someone to start from a proven workflow instead of setting everything up manually again.
Key Features
- Reuse Kiro specs, hooks, and steering files.
- Upload workflows from a Kiro project.
- Browse shared blueprints from the web registry.
- Download and install blueprints into another project.
- Built with Next.js, TypeScript, and Vercel Blob.
- Includes basic safety checks for secrets and large packs.
Why This Matters
AI development is not just about generating code faster.
Good specs help define the direction.
Good steering files keep the agent aligned.
Good hooks automate repeated tasks.
Good steering files keep the agent aligned.
Good hooks automate repeated tasks.
Together, they become a reusable development system.
Kiro Blueprint is my attempt to make those systems easier to share.
Final Thoughts
Kiro Blueprint is still early, but I think reusable AI workflows can help more builders start faster.
If you are building with Kiro and have useful specs, hooks, or steering patterns, this could be a way to share them with the community.
