.agent community SF Kickoff at the AWS Builder Loft

This is a hands-on morning at the AWS Builder Loft in San Francisco. Come to understand where the project is headed, meet the people behind it, and help decide what the community builds over the next six months.

The agentic web needs shared infrastructure, and that infrastructure should be shaped by the people building it. Join us for the first San Francisco kickoff of .agent community, a working session for builders, founders, and researchers defining how agents are named, identified, discovered, and trusted.

What is .agent community

.agent community is an open community for agent builders working toward a shared naming layer for the agentic web. The project spans opinions, standards, governance, and the namespace itself, including a community application to ICANN in 2026 for the .agent top-level domain.
If you are building agents and care about open infrastructure for identity, discovery, and trust, this is where that work gets organized in the open.

What we will cover

  • The history and direction of .agent community, and where it is headed next
  • A status update on the .agent ICANN community application for 2026
  • A walkthrough of .agent and AID (agent identity and discovery)
  • Introductions from members and advisers
  • Open working discussion across core workstreams: evals, security, governance, accountability, trustworthiness, tooling, and standards

Who should attend

  • Software builders: developers, engineers, and solutions architects working on agents
  • Technical founders and business leaders building in the agentic space
  • Data and AI practitioners: data scientists, ML engineers, and applied researchers
  • Technical leaders and decision makers thinking about agent standards and governance
This is a friendly working session, not a formal conference. The goal is to meet other serious people in the community and identify what .agent community should build, document, and organize over the next six months. Expect to participate, not just listen.
