Getting started
- When does my subscription start? Licences are being distributed now; your 3-month premium subscription activates automatically once linked to your registration email. No credit card is required.
- How do I sign in? Go to skillbuilder.aws and sign in with your Builder ID, using the same email you registered with.
- I don't see my courses yet. Assignments are rolling out — please be patient and check your spam folder before contacting us.
Certifications & tracks
- Can I change my track? No — track changes can no longer be accepted. Start learning for your intended certification and apply for it later.
- Can I study more than one track? You can study as much as you like, but there is one exam voucher per person. Once you pass one AWS exam, you receive a 50% discount on your next exam.
- Which track suits me? New to AI/ML → AI Practitioner. Experienced AWS developer → ML Engineer or GenAI Developer. The Professional track assumes 2+ years of cloud experience.
- Are the certifications sequential? No — none is a prerequisite for another, but they cover very different topics and skill levels.
Learning & preparation
- How much time should I dedicate? Roughly 1 hour/day for AI Practitioner and ML Engineer; at least ~10 hours/week for the GenAI Developer (Professional).
- Is there hands-on work? Yes — Builder Labs, CloudQuest, Industry Quest, SimuLearn, and AI-powered practice, all in a safe sandbox.
- Can I retake mock exams? Yes, as many times as you like — reset them in Skill Builder and run them in practice or exam mode.
The exam
- How do I get my voucher? Pass the pre-assessment in December 2026 to receive your exam voucher.
- What discount do I get? 50% off your certification exam, plus a further 50% off your next exam once you pass one.
- What if I fail? Normally you re-register with a new voucher; AWS occasionally runs free-retake promotions, but none is confirmed for this program.

Q: Who can participate?
A: Any person residing in an Central and Easter Europe (Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Greece, Hungary, Kosovo, Malta, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Republic of North Macedonia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine) and that registers for the Get Certified Challenge for Central and Eastern Europe between June 30 at 08.00 to 25 August, at 17.00 (Central European Summer Time (CEST) 2026 will be eligible to participate in the Challenge. Q: Is the program free?
A: The learning resources on AWS Skill Builder are free for three months (usually cost 29 USD per month). Certification exams are offered at a 50% discount through the program voucher.
Q: How do I get my exam voucher?
A: Vouchers are allocated after you successfully complete the training program milestones and pre-assessment activities.
Q: What certifications can I pursue?
A: You can choose from Foundational, Associate, or Professional level AWS certifications in AI and ML domain
Q: How will I receive learning support?
A: Through AWS Skill Builder resources, live Q&A sessions with AWS experts, and your local AWS User Group community.
Q: How do I get a 50% voucher to apply to an AWS Certification Exam?
A: You need to sign up for this Challenge between June 30 at 08.00 to 25 August, at 17.00 (Central European Summer Time (CEST) to be eligible to receive your voucher. When you register for the Challenge, complete the learning program and pass exam pre-assessment, with 80% completion rate, your voucher request will be submitted and you will receive instructions within the registration confirmation email, on how to redeem your discount voucher. To apply for the discount, you must schedule your exam with Pearson VUE, the sole test delivery provider for AWS Certification. You then have to take the exam of your choice on or before January 30th 2027 to leverage the voucher.
Q: In what languages will the exam be available?
A: AWS Certified AI Practitioner : English, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), and Simplified Chinese.

Q: Is there any cost associated with the Get AWS Certified: Foundational and Associate Challenge?
A: There is no cost to register for this challenge or to access free and paid digital exam prep resources. All participants will get 3 month free access to AWS Skill Builder (usually $29/month) to access exam prep resources and the full-length AWS Certification Official Practice Exams or the Official Pretest. To earn a Foundational or Associate-level certification, participants must take and pass a Foundational-level exam which costs 100 USD or Associate-level exam, which costs 150 USD. By joining this Challenge, you will receive a 50% discount voucher to apply towards the cost of the Foundational or Associate-level exam of your choice.
Q: Do I have to follow all the training in order to complete the Get AWS Certified Challenge?
A: All training, review sessions, and preparation resources recommended as part of the Challenge are optional.
