my cloud journey so far
a quick look back at how one certification led to another — from aws ccp to kubernetes, kcna, deploying a 3-tier app on eks, and now studying for aws saa while building a cloud solution for a startup idea.
it all started with curiosity. i took the aws certified cloud practitioner (ccp) exam, mostly to understand what “the cloud” actually meant beyond the buzzwords. that one exam changed everything.
once i got a taste of how cloud infrastructure works, i wanted to go deeper. that curiosity led me straight into kubernetes. i started learning how containers are orchestrated, how clusters work, and why everyone in the industry talks about k8s. eventually i sat for the kcna (kubernetes and cloud native associate) exam.
but reading about kubernetes and actually using it are two different things. so i deployed a 3-tier application on aws eks; frontend, backend, and database all running in containers, talking to each other inside a cluster. watching it actually work end to end was one of those “okay, i get it now” moments.
right now i’m studying for the aws solutions architect associate (saa) certification, while also building something more ambitious, a cloud-based solution for a startup idea i’ve been working on. it’s been a great way to apply everything i’ve learned so far in a real, practical context instead of just exam scenarios.
looking back, it’s interesting how one exam led to an entire learning path i didn’t plan for. started with ccp, then kubernetes, and now i’m building real things on the cloud while looking forward to saa.
still early days, but enjoying the process.
