  • Amazon S3 — explorar, subir, descargar, copiar/mover, URLs prefirmadas
  • DynamoDB — scan, query por partition key, índices
  • RDS — instancias, clusters, snapshots, start/stop
  • Redshift — clusters, editor SQL vía Data API
  • AWS Glue — catálogo completo: databases, tables, jobs, crawlers, triggers
  • Athena — editor SQL, historial, descarga de resultados
  • Lambda — funciones, invoke, logs, código fuente
  • CloudWatch — alarmas, log groups, streams, métricas
  • EventBridge — buses, reglas, targets, eventos custom
  • Lake Formation — permisos, LF-Tags, ubicaciones registradas

¿Por qué Rust + Tauri?

  • ~60MB de binario. Sin Electron, sin Node.js, sin runtime.
  • Inicio en menos de 1 segundo. Backend puro en Rust con webview nativo.
  • ~30-50MB de RAM en ejecución.
  • Credenciales 100% locales. Lee directamente de ~/.aws/credentials. Tus claves nunca salen de tu máquina.
  • Cero dependencias.

AWS Data Center: A Visual Alternative to

Manage Your AWS Data Services

The problem

If you work with data on AWS, you know the drill: open the web console, navigate between tabs, wait for it to load, lose context switching between services. The AWS console is powerful, but it wasn't designed for someone who needs to quickly jump between S3, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena, and Redshift on a daily basis.

The proposal

AWS Data Center is an open source desktop application that unifies 10 AWS data services into a single visual interface, with Kodi-style navigation — dark tiles, direct access, no distractions.

What services does it cover?

It's focused exclusively on the data domain:
  • Amazon S3 — browse, upload, download, copy/move, presigned URLs
  • DynamoDB — scan, query by partition key, indexes
  • RDS — instances, clusters, snapshots, start/stop
  • Redshift — clusters, SQL editor via Data API
  • AWS Glue — full catalog: databases, tables, jobs, crawlers, triggers
  • Athena — SQL editor, history, results download
  • Lambda — functions, invoke, logs, source code
  • CloudWatch — alarms, log groups, streams, metrics
  • EventBridge — buses, rules, targets, custom events
  • Lake Formation — permissions, LF-Tags, registered locations

Why Rust + Tauri?

  • ~60MB binary. No Electron, no Node.js, no runtime.
  • Starts in under 1 second. Pure Rust backend with native webview.
  • ~30-50MB RAM at runtime.
  • 100% local credentials. Reads directly from ~/.aws/credentials. Your keys never leave your machine.
  • Zero dependencies. Download the binary and run it.

Alpha version

This is an Alpha release. It's functional and usable for daily work, but it's under active development. There may be bugs, incomplete features, and UI changes. Contributions and issue reports are welcome.
