Introduction

This article quickly demonstrates how can an IAM user be added to Kiro Subscription that pays via AWS Credits.

Prerequisites:

  • Create AWS Account
  • Configure IAM user

Configure Kiro Subscription via AWS Management Console

  • Load any AWS Credits in AWS Management Console via Billing & Cost Management > Credits
  • Search for Kiro service in AWS Management Console Search
  • In Kiro Service select Users & Groups and click on Add User
  • Select the desired Kiro plan
  • Look Up User by email or Username, Select the User and Click Done
  • The added User will be seen on User tab
  • Subscription activity can be seen from Subscriptions Tab. The newly added user will be charged and will be seen active only after the first use, otherwise subscription will stay in Pending State.
  • Authenticate to Kiro(IDE / CLI)

Summary:

Kiro Subscription can be paid via AWS Credits. Once the User is set up with above process, Kiro subscription will automatically be paid via AWS Credits Loaded into AWS Account
