As I started interacting with more students around AWS, one thing became very clear-most people are interested in cloud computing, but many feel overwhelmed about where to begin.
A common concern I heard was:
“There are too many services, I don’t know what to start with.”
This made me realize that the problem is not a lack of interest, but a lack of clear starting direction.
Many students assume they need to understand everything before they begin, which often leads to inaction.
Instead, the better approach is to:
- Start small
- Focus on one service at a time
- Build something simple
Through these interactions, I also noticed that once students take their first step - whether it’s creating an account or trying a basic lab, their confidence increases significantly.
💡 Key takeaway
AWS is not difficult, it just feels overwhelming at the beginning.
The goal should not be to learn everything, but to start building and learn along the way.
As I continue working with students, my focus will be on simplifying this journey and helping more people take that first step into cloud computing.
